Heavy winds left about 20,000 business and homes in Southeast Texas without power most of the day Thursday. Power was restored to areas in Southeast Texas by Thursday night.

Getting Muddy at the Buckner Toy Run

  • Motorcycles, Jeeps and Corvettes gathered in Beaumont on Saturday for a good cause. Participants in the 22nd Annual Buckner Toy Run raised money and allowed kids to pick the toy of their choice. After the kids opened their presents, they were given motorcycle and Corvette rides — in addition to mudding expeditions in the Jeeps.
