Ronnie Kuebodeaux touches up the outside of his recently finished submarine-themed playhouse he built for the CASA ‘Anchors Away’ playhouse raffle. There are two torpedoes hanging from the ceiling and all kinds of ‘ship’ equipment on the wall inside. All the portals open to allow air inside. It also has a working periscope on the top. The raffle will take place Oct. 15 near the Parkdale Mall entrance by the JC Penny store. Other events, including a 5K run that begins at 7 a.m., will also take place.
