Students at Vidor High School were released at noon because of the rising water in low lying areas. Parents coming to pick up the kids had to deal with the high water in front of the school on Orange Street.

Lumberton Launches Propane School Buses

One of the three new propane powered school buses, purchased by Lumberton ISD, sits outside the Region Five Service Center Monday morning as Lumberton school officials prepare to have a presentation. Lumberton was the first Golden Triangle school district to put the buses into operation and received money from the Texas Railroad Commission and Rush Enterprises, the Blue Bird Bus distributer.
