Don Kachtik, owner of K&K Tree Farm outside of Orange, carries another cut tree to his wagon from his field for an early customer who was on her way to Dallas. The crop of Virginia pines are as good as they ever were despite the drought conditions the state experienced this year.

Some Other Place Thanksgiving Store

The Some Other Place John Terry Moore Thanksgiving Store opened Tuesday morning at 9a.m. to over 425 families who had applied for holiday groceries. People started lining up well before the opening time and the line continued throughout the morning. Area schools, churches and businesses contributed food and money to the annual event.
