Daisetta Sinkhole

  • The sinkhole that formed in Daisetta Wednesday afternoon in Liberty County. The hole began opening around 10 a.m. when workers with Deloach Disposal Services Co. noticed a crack in the dirt road off FM 770, upper right, leading to their business. The sinkhole grew in size, eventually swallowing a truck, saltwater storage tanks, utility poles and pipe racks.
