Sinkhole Forms at Corner of Magnolia and Prince Streets

A sinkhole large enough to trap a car caved in early Sunday afternoon at the corner of Magnolia and Prince streets. A Beaumont Water Utilities crew said they wouldn’t be able to look for a leak until the rain stopped, and they will more than likely have to tear up the street along Magnolia just to locate it.

Daughter of Deceased Police Officer Conrad Gernale Graduates

Celina Grace Fabie Gernale, daughter of Beaumont police officer Conrad Gernale who was killed on duty in 2002, graduated in the West Brook High School class of 2013 on Saturday. After receiving her diploma she was escorted by Beaumont Police Chief Jim Singletary off the stage and greeted by numerous other Beaumont police officers.
